Apartment I

Like the giving tree in the beloved story, the apartment’s original owner — an artist — was generous. After his passing, his daughter asked us to transform the old, crumbling apartment into a modern home.
Inspired by the arbutus tree he planted years ago outside the balcony, we opened the living space to the outdoors and brought in its colors and warmth through natural wood and light.
The result: a clean, contemporary apartment that softly echoes the memory of its past.
