Eucalyptus School
Bringing Color to Ofakim
The elementary school in Ofakim was designed as a place-making structure: its elliptical form defines a new urban square at the heart of the neighborhood. Three “rays” extend inward, creating courtyards that bring in soft, natural light. The facades are coated with a gradient of colored plaster—from vivid hues fading gradually to white—so that the building itself, conceived as an artificial sun, reflects real sunlight inward, filling the interior with a lively play of color, light, and movement.
